Every year a special needs youth program visits El Dorado Farms for a day where the young participants get to meet and become closely acquainted with some of our horses.  It’s a day we all look forward to, and a day that brings smiles to many faces.

Contact and activity with horses means a lot to many people, and horses often provide special needs youth with therapeutic connections that even the best trained and most highly experienced therapists cannot.  Winston Churchill said that “There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.”  What that “something” might be is elusive, but the kids certainly know it when they feel it up close and personal.
