Because El Dorado Farms is a thoroughbred breeding farm, all of the youngsters foaled here are destined for new owners once they become yearlings.  We participate in annual sales through the Washington Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association, located at Emerald Downs in Auburn, Washington.  In addition to taking our own yearlings to the sales, we also provide sales agency services for owners who consign their horses with us for the sales.

Each of the yearlings in our consignments have conditioning training prior to the sales.  Our sales preparation process includes careful grooming, foot care, and conformation photography. In the days leading up to a sale, our expert handlers show the horses to prospective buyers at the El Dorado Farms section of the sales barns at Emerald Downs.
